Some thoughts of my own are contained in a piece which I haven't gotten up to my website yet -- would love to discuss all this in detail with anyone who emails me inspector@ocotilloarts.com PS Your timeline begins 1970 with Roger Levenson and South Hall Press. Have you read Soetsu Yanagi's book, The Unknown Craftsman? What I like about Yanagi's book and other books I've read about Japanese aesthetics is that they don't engage with the "art vs craft" opposition. In Japan, craft is taken very seriously in it's own right, and it has it's own aesthetic principles--I wish the same were true in the West.moonandharehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15384512316571415507noreply@blogger.com
